On April 11 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives from the regional office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

The meeting was attended by key officials from the central office, led by the chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with Oliver Stolpe, the head of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime's Regional Office for Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan, and Salome Flores Sierra Franzoni, the head of the Information Center of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

During the meeting, issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators were thoroughly discussed. Specifically, views were exchanged on the possibilities of collaboration in formulating and coordinating SDG indicators, as well as adapting statistical data to meet international standards.
