On May 5 of this year, an online meeting was organized between representatives of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Georgian Statistics Office.

The event was attended remotely by representatives from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including M. Satimov, Head of the Department for Monitoring Business Entities; Z. Yuldoshev, Head of the Department of Demography, Labor and Gender Statistics; Sh. Odilov, Head of the Department of Digital Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Statistical Registers Maintenance; A. Sultanov, Head of the Open Data Portal Department; U. Noipov, Head of the Department for International Relations and Ratings; and other officials. From the Georgian Statistical Office, remote participants included Daviti Djorjoliani, Head of the Business Statistics Department; Tinatin Ksovreli, Head of the Short-Term Observations Department; Mamuka Benashvili, Chief Specialist of the Department; Mariam Gogeniya, Leading Specialist of the Department; and Ivane Ketchakmadze, Specialist in Statistical Sample Surveys.

The meeting focused on discussing various aspects of cooperation between the statistical offices of Uzbekistan and Georgia. Topics included monitoring business entities and compiling business statistics, methods for collecting statistical data, and conducting sample surveys. The participants also explored ways to enhance the transparency and reliability of indicators by implementing modern technologies in the field. Additionally, they addressed the exchange of methodological knowledge and experiences between the two countries' statistical agencies.
