On May 5 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the expert group of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus to provide practical assistance in conducting the population and agricultural census.
The event was attended by responsible staff of the central office led by the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus J.N. Vasilevskaya, Head of the Main Department of Demographic Statistics and Population Census I.Ye. Bichan, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Statistics of Brest Region N.P. Tomasheva, Head of the Department for Monitoring and Development of Information Systems at the Information Technology Center V.Ye. Provoloskiy, and representatives of the UNFPA office in Tashkent.
During the meeting, methodological and procedural documents for conducting the population and agricultural census using administrative data in the Republic of Uzbekistan, integration of inter-agency data, questions in software and questionnaire forms, development of organizational plans for the census, and other areas of cooperation were discussed.
