On May 6 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistical Committee with representatives of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The event was attended by responsible staff of the central office led by the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Sarah Cooper, Regional Development Director for Central Asia at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and Samira Abdusalomova, Programme and Policy Development Manager.

During the meeting, the UK's technical assistance to Uzbekistan, the expansion of cooperation in the field between the two countries, and potential future directions of collaboration were discussed.
