On May 7 of this year, an online meeting was organized between the representatives of the National Statistics Committee and the Statistics Bureau of Japan.

The meeting was attended by Z. Yuldoshev, Head of the Department of Demography, Labor and Gender Statistics; D. Zakirov, Head of the Department for Organization and Methodology of Statistical Work; N. Sheraliyev, Head of the Department for Organizing and Conducting Census Processes; U. Noipov, Head of the Department for International Relations and Rankings; B. Jalilov, Chief Specialist of the same department — all from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From the Statistics Bureau of Japan, the participants included Koshi Yuji, Director for Administrative Affairs; Akutsu Fumika, Deputy Director; Nakagawa Yukiko, Head of the International Cooperation Division; and specialists Oyama Yuko, Katano Nanoka, and Hiraga Rika.


During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of statistics, particularly the exchange of experiences and practical data in census processes. The parties agreed to expand collaboration in the collection, analysis, and presentation of statistical data in accordance with international standards.
