On May 22 of this year, a meeting took place at the National Statistics Committee with a delegation from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
The event was attended by key staff from the central office led by the Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the delegation from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as well as responsible specialists from the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting discussed indicators for developing the fourth review of Uzbekistan's environmental performance, as well as the Committee's role in submitting reports on SDG indicators, the collection and publication of environmental statistics data by the Committee, and several other related issues.
