A series of meetings are being held at the National Statistics Committee with the participation of World Bank mission members to support the project "Strengthening the Capacity of the Statistical System in Uzbekistan"
During the visit, the committee's leadership and officials are engaging in comprehensive discussions with the mission members on the agenda items.
During the negotiations, a number of issues are being discussed, including preparation for population and agricultural census activities, formation of tender documents for establishing a data center, development of a comprehensive data dissemination policy, National Statistics Development Strategy, media center project, procurement of information and communication technologies and office equipment, organization of seminars and trainings for staff, as well as development of methodology and software for the CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) system.
The visit of the World Bank mission will continue until July 3, 2025.
