On June 30 of this year, at the regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legal Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Improvement of the State Governance System in the Field of Official Statistics" was considered conceptually.
This draft law was initially discussed and supported during the meetings of the factions of political parties. Subsequently, the draft was presented to the deputies during the meeting of the Legislative Chamber by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics, Mr. Z. Ziyayev.
The draft law proposes amendments and additions to 1 code and 7 laws. The document aims to strengthen the legal foundations of the administrative reforms being implemented in the field of official statistics, improve the functioning of statistical bodies, and create more convenient conditions for users of official statistics.
At the end of the meeting, the draft law was approved by the deputies in the first reading.
