Most of the fish were caught in the Khorezm region

According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, 53.2 thousand tons of fish were caught by farms of all categories of the republic in January-June 2025.

This figure increased by 9.4% compared to the corresponding period last year.

In January-June 2025, 9.4 thousand tons of fish were caught in the Khorezm region. This indicator is the highest in the republic and accounts for 17.7% of the total volume of fish caught.

The volume of fish caught by regions:

Khorezm region – 9.4 thousand tons

Tashkent region – 5.4 thousand tons

Jizzakh region – 5.2 thousand tons

Andijan region – 4.9 thousand tons

Rep. Karakalpakstan – 4.6 thousand tons

Syrdarya region – 4,6 thousand tons

Navoi region – 4 thousand tons

Ferghana region – 3.8 thousand tons

Samarkand region – 3 thousand tons

Namangan region – 3 thousand tons

Bukhara region – 2.4 thousand tons
