On November 10 this year, at the initiative of the Office of the Coordinator of Economic and Environmental Activities of the OSCE, an online seminar was held within the framework of the OSCE extrabudgetary project “Promoting Good Governance and Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption in the OSCE Region through the Use of Open Data and New Digital Technologies”.


The event was on the topic "Monitoring, Analysis, Use and Reuse of Data to Improve Transparency in Government and Decision Making Processes".

The webinar focuses on how open data is used to monitor and influence sectoral reforms or broader governance reforms at the national or local level.

The webinar presented effective and efficient methods of monitoring, analyzing and using open data, as well as the potential impact on the countries of Central Asia, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.

The webinar was attended by officials from countries of Southeast, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, representatives of civil society, as well as international experts to discuss and exchange experiences on the role of open data and the possibility of evidence-based decision-making based on the needs of citizens and the community.

The online seminar was attended by the head and employees of the department for monitoring and coordinating the activities of the Open Data Portal of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
