According to the National Statistics Committee, as of May 1, 2026, there are 61.4 thousand industrial enterprises operating in Uzbekistan.
They are distributed by main types of economic activity as follows:
food production - 12.3 thousand (20%);
production of other non-metallic mineral products - 8.6 thousand (14%);
clothing production - 6.2 thousand (10%);
production of finished metal products - 5.0 thousand units (8.2%);
furniture production - 4.2 thousand (6.9%);
production of textile products - 3.7 thousand (6.1%);
production of rubber and plastic products - 2.9 thousand (4.7%)
