According to the National Statistics Committee, at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, the number of students studying in higher education institutions in Uzbekistan was 1,535,000.
This figure increased by 102.2 thousand people, or 7.1%, compared to the previous academic year.
782.9 thousand students were women, 752.1 thousand were men.
Dynamics of the number of students by year:
2021/2022 academic year - 808.4 thousand people;
2022/2023 academic year - 1,042.1 thousand people;
2023/2024 academic year - 1,314.5 thousand people;
2024/2025 academic year - 1,432.8 thousand people;
2025/2026 academic year - 1,535.0 thousand people.
