As of November 1 of this year, the total number of business entities (excluding farms and dehkan farms) is 401,727, including 89,677 private enterprises (22.3%).

According to the State Committee on Statistics, high numbers of private enterprises were registered in the following regions:

Tashkent – 12,858;

Ferghana region – 10,779;

Kashkadarya region – 9 123;

Namangan region – 7,188;

Surkhandarya region – 7,018.

By type of economic activity, enterprises are distributed as follows:

In trade – 33,837;

In industry – 16,165;

In construction – 7,850;

In accommodation and food services – 7 803;

In agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 6,658.
