In January-October of this year, Uzbekistan produced 3,134.1 thousand tons of coal. This indicator increased by 53.8 thousand tons in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year (the growth rate was 101.7%).
According to the State Statistics Committee, coal production in 2020 was:
in January – 383.9 thousand tons (163.1%);
in January-February – 695.1 thousand tons (128.9%);
in January-March – 1,048.2 thousand tons (129.6%);
in January-April – 1 213.4 thousand tons (119.1%);
in January-May – 1,366.7 thousand tons (110.2%);
in January-June – 1 509.6 thousand tons (99.7%);
in January-July – 1,720.8 thousand tons (90.6%);
January-August – 2,178.0 thousand tons (93.1%);
in January-September – 2 635.9 thousand tons (97.1%).
For information: in January-October 2020, Uzbekistan exported 1.3 thousand tons of coal to foreign countries in the amount of 86.1 thousand US dollars.
In turn, the country received from abroad 2 200.7 thousand tons of coal in the amount of 75.4 million US dollars.
