Programming the EU multi-year program for Uzbekistan for the period 2021-2027 became the subject of a meeting that took place on December 2, 2020 via video conferencing.
Responsible heads of the sectoral departments of the State Statistics Committee held negotiations with representatives of the European Union delegation in Uzbekistan, international financial institutions, and European Union experts in order to prepare the EU Cooperation Program with the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2027.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2025, monitoring SDG indicators, monitoring and coordinating the activities of the Open Data Portal, cooperation on a project to assist in the implementation of reforms in the agricultural sector in 2020, cooperation in the field ICT development, innovation, gender equality.
Following the talks, the parties exchanged proposals and agreed to continue mutual cooperation.
