In January–October of this year, Uzbekistan produced 8,804,0 thousand tons of cement. This indicator increased by 102.6 % compared to the corresponding period last year.
According to the State Committee on Statistics, cement production in 2020 was:
in January-473.7 thousand tons (growth rate 74.0 %);
for January-February, 1,024,9 thousand tons (80,5 %);
in January-March, 1,792. 4 thousand tons (89.6 %);
in January-April, 2,768. 9 thousand tons (97.7 %);
in January-may, 3,764. 0 thousand tons (99.2 %);
in January-June, 4,720. 1 thousand tons (100.9 %);
for January-July, 5 742.8 thousand tons (102.5 % );
january-August 6,725. 4 thousand tons (102.0 %);
in January-September, 7,753. 4 thousand tons (102.6 %).
The largest share in the total volume of products produced by enterprises for the production of cement at the national level falls on the Tashkent region 46.7 %, Navoi region 35.1 % and Ferghana region 12.8 %.
For information: in January - October 2020, Uzbekistan exported cement products to foreign countries in the amount of 27.6 million US dollars.
In turn, in January - October 2020, the country imported cement products worth 105.5 million us dollars from abroad.
