On December 2, 2020, the final webinar was held jointly with the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the European Free Trade Association, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the Luxembourg Statistical Office.

Deputy Head of the Department Kadirov Abdujalil and Chief Specialist of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics Dekhkanova Nigora, as well as leading specialist of the Department of Industry Statistics Raisova Ksenia took part in the online seminar from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.

The webinar was attended by representatives of statistical services and sectoral ministries dealing with environmental issues from the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Presentations were made by Michael Nagy (UN Economic Commission for Europe expert), Olivier Thunus (Luxembourg Statistical Office), Waco Sokol (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific).

This online workshop covered important topics such as a set of core indicators related to climate change, the role of environmental statistics and BISOs, the role of the Environmental and Economic Accounting System Central Framework in preparing climate change indicators, monetary indicators and indicators related to climate change land cover.

The webinar allowed the participants to improve their knowledge in these areas and exchange practical experience on the implementation of statistics related to climate change.
