As of November 1, 974 enterprises of the metallurgical industry operated in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which produced goods worth 63.3 trillion soums in January-October 2020. The physical volume index compared to January - October 2019 amounted to 104.3%.
In particular:
copper wire production 102.1%;
production of aluminum wires 104.8%;
The production of welded oil and gas pipelines of circular cross-section with a diameter not exceeding 406.4 mm increased by 124.9%.
The largest share in the total volume of products produced by metallurgical enterprises falls on the Navoi region 56.5% (30 metallurgical enterprises), the Tashkent region 35.8% (131 enterprises) and the city of Tashkent 5.8% (281 enterprises).
It should be noted that in January-October of this year, metallurgical products were exported in the amount of 1 001.7 million US dollars, which is 7.5% of the total export of the republic.
