According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the number of students aged 40 and older studying at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan amounted to 53,483 in the 2025/2026 academic year.
At the beginning of the 2010/2011 academic year, their number stood at 616. Over this period, the figure increased by 52,867 students.
