At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1 this year, the issue of human resources was raised, and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists of the statistical system.
On the basis of a specific plan established by Goskomstat, a systematic training program for the staff of the central office of the committee and regional statistical offices was developed and approved.
Based on this schedule, online seminars were organized in June-July of this year to improve the qualifications of the system's employees and further enhance their knowledge and capabilities in this area.
The next video conference, organized on December 21, 2020 by the Office for Work with Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities and Control of Execution Discipline.
The videoconference was attended by employees of the State Statistics Committee and representatives of territorial statistical offices.
At the webinar, an exchange of views took place with employees of territorial statistical offices following the consideration of applications from individuals and legal entities in the Goskomstat system, as well as on strengthening executive discipline in office work and working with documents, in particular on the tasks established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 11, 2017 year № ПП - 2881 and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan № ЗРУ - 445 dated September 11, 2017 “On applications of individuals and legal entities”.
Fayzulla Berdibaev, head of the Department on work with references and performance monitoring, gave explanations on the work being done to fulfill government orders, as well as to timely and comprehensively respond to appeals from individuals and legal entities.
During the videoconference, employees of the State Statistics Committee and territorial departments of statistics exchanged views on the development of the system, discussing and analyzing the existing problems and shortcomings in the industry. The Goskomstat employees provided the employees of the territorial statistical offices with practical suggestions and recommendations.
