As of December 1, 997 enterprises of the metallurgical industry operated in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which in January - November 2020 produced products worth 70.9 trillion soums. The physical volume index compared to January - November 2019 was 106.3%.
In particular:
production of copper wire 101.2%;
production of aluminum wire 180.8%.
The largest share in the total volume of products produced by enterprises of the metallurgical industry falls on Navoi region 56.4% (30 metallurgical enterprises), Tashkent region 35.6% (132 enterprises) and the city of Tashkent 6.0% (283 enterprises).
It should be noted that in January - November of this year, products of the metallurgical industry were exported in the amount of 1,114.4 million US dollars, which is 7.8% of the total export volume of the republic.
