On February 24, this year, the Center for Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Professional Training for Islamic Countries, SESRIC, together with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), organized a webinar on experience in the field of tourism statistics.
This webinar is part of the SESRIC series of webinars on the exchange of statistical experience in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The event was attended by the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade Statistics Irgashyev Batir Samarovich, the head of the Division for Statistical Observations of Non-Profit Organizations, Culture and Tourism Xasanov Xayrulla Odiljonovich and the head of the Division for Coordination of Household Sample Surveys Qarshiboev Baxodir Kurbonboevich.
During the webinar, the participants were provided with information in the field of tourism statistics on the distribution of the number of foreign citizens arriving in the Republic of Uzbekistan by countries, hotels, organizations engaged in tourist activities.
As a result of the event, the participants agreed to continue close cooperation on all relevant issues of statistical practice.
