These days, various meetings are held in all regions of our country in order to prepare for the population census.
In particular, activities were organized to prepare for the population census in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Surkhandarya, Khorezm, Namangan and Tashkent regions.
At the events, the participants were explained in detail the meaning of the population census, the role of the state in the formation of socio-economic programs, the essence and content of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 710 of November 11, 2020 "On measures to prepare and conduct the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023."
As it was noted at the meeting, the census is a large-scale event of a nationwide scale, allowing to take a “photograph” of the country's population over a certain period of time and being a reliable source of information about the population.
The data of each citizen is of paramount importance in the conduct of a population census, since, first of all, detailed data are collected on such indicators as the specific population, age, sex, citizenship, ethnic composition, marital status, education, level of housing, employment, sources of income.
At the end of the seminars, specialists provided answers to questions of interest to the participants.
