On March 10 this year, in the form of a videoconference between representatives of the State Committee on Statistics and the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee, a seminar was organized on the topic “Formation of short-term economic statistics based on a discrete approach”.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Ziyodullaev Mahmudjon Dzhurakulovich, Deputy Chairman of the Interstate Committee of CIS Statistics Kosarev Andrey Evgenievich and senior officials from both sides.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics M. Ziyodullaev noted in his speech that the processes of economic transformations are taking place in Uzbekistan, reforms are being actively carried out in all directions and these processes are reflected in statistical figures.
The webinar also noted that in accordance with the "Roadmap" for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025, Goskomstat was instructed to move to the collection and publication of monthly and quarterly economic statistics on a discrete basis and a full transition is planned from the first quarter of 2021 of the year.
As a result of the event, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and exchange bilateral experience.
