In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, the population census in test mode is planned to be held from November 1 to 25, 2021 in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent.
On April 28 this year, training seminars for registrars began in these 4 districts. In this regard, Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich visited Yashnabad and Yukori Chirchik districts in order to familiarize with the preparation process and training seminars on conducting the population census.
The Chairman of Goskomstat gave his suggestions and recommendations for the high-quality and efficient organization of the pilot population census.
B.Begalov also emphasized that the population census is a nationwide event that allows you to get a “photograph” of the country's population at a certain point in time and become a reliable source of information about the population.
The population census will help to obtain detailed information on the population of Uzbekistan in a certain period, its age, sex, religious and ethnic composition, marital status, education level, housing provision, economic activity, sources of income. It is also used in calculating the distribution of macroeconomic indicators per capita, clearly shows the migration situation, the distribution of labor resources.
The preparatory processes and training seminars aimed at conducting the census activities carried out in a test mode are continuing.
