By the Decree of the President of August 3, 2020 No. 4796 “On measures to further improve and develop the national statistics system of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, as well as the “Roadmap” for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics, priority tasks for the development of the industry are identified.
In particular, in order to implement the tasks set in the Roadmap, the Goskomstat, together with the Ministry for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting to discuss the directions for the development of ICT statistics.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Director of the "Center for E-Government Project Management", and Director of the Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technologies.
The event was attended by the heads and employees of the Central Office of the State Committee on Statistics, headed by the head of the statistics department of the service sector Mirzakhidov Abdugafir.
The subject of discussion of the specialists was the development of ICT infrastructure, development of the ICT manufacturing sector, tariffs for ICT services, improvement of methodology and implementation of international standards for the production of ICT and data into practice.
Following the talks, the parties exchanged proposals and agreed to continue close cooperation and joint implementation of the tasks set.
