In the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of April 1, 2022, the largest number of operating small enterprises and microfirms was noted in the city of Tashkent – 96,750, or 20.3% of the total number of operating ones.

As of May 1, 2022, the number of registered business entities was 517,501, of which 484,935 are active business entities.

As of April 1, 2022, the largest number of operating small enterprises and microfirms in the Republic of Uzbekistan are trade enterprises - 161,294, or 32.8% of the total number of operating ones.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, a population census is planned to be carried out in 2023 in all regions of the republic.

On May 30, 2022, a regular online seminar was held at the State Statistics Committee to increase human resources, broadly promote advanced and modern methodologies in the system.

As of May 1, 2022, the number of operating trading enterprises increased by 2.5 times compared to the corresponding period in 2018.

In January-March 2022, the largest share of assimilated investments in fixed assets at the expense of the Republican budget was noted in three regions; in the city of Tashkent - 5.3%, Surkhandarya region - 4.9% and the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 4.0% of the total investment in the region was mastered precisely at the expense of this source of financing.

It should be noted that the industrial sector is one of the sectors with the highest potential among the sectors of the economy.
