A representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Census (FAO), Mr. Georgy Kvinikadze, arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in a pilot agricultural census in the period of August 23-25, 2022.

On August 24, 2022, the representative of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture Census (FAO) Georgy Kvinikadze took part in a pilot agricultural census in the Dzhambay district of Samarkand region.

“I participated in the process of interviewing respondents and familiarized myself with the processes of the agricultural census, and I can say that, in general, the organizational work is organized at a high level. The stage-by-stage organization of work is well established. The processes at each stage are rational and very well distributed.

There is a lot of preparatory work going on. The purpose of the visit is to directly observe the processes of the agricultural census. At the end of the mission, we will present our proposals and recommendations” said Giorgi Kvinikadze.

It should be emphasized that for the first time in our country, from August 1 to August 31, a pilot agricultural census is being conducted in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region and the Dzhambay district of the Samarkand region.
