In the country, October 21 is widely celebrated as the day of the Uzbek language. The State Statistics Committee also organized a cultural and educational event dedicated to the holiday.


A poet and writer, a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, editor of the department of the newspaper “Tong Yulduzi” Akhtamkul Karim was invited to the cultural and educational meeting.

At the event, the guest cordially congratulated the participants on the holiday of the Uzbek language and spoke about the rich history of the Uzbek language, in particular about the contribution of our great-grandfathers such as Mahmud Koshgari, Alisher Navoi, Zakhriddin Muhammad Babur, Abdulla Qadiri, Mahmudhuja Behbudi, Abdullah Avloni in the development of our native language ...

It also described in detail the obstacles to the Uzbek language in the past, as well as the high attention paid today. The signing on the eve of the language holiday of the Decree of the Head of our state "On measures to further develop the Uzbek language and improve the language policy in the country" testifies to the growing attention to the Uzbek language in our country.

Advisor to the chairman on improving the efficiency of spiritual and educational work, ensuring compliance with legislative acts on the state language Kiyomiddin Akhmedov expressed his opinion on the work carried out in the State Statistics Committee on office work in the Uzbek language, compliance with legislation. Also, proposals were made to comply with the standards of the Uzbek literary language of statistical press releases, reports and other documents.

At the end of the meeting, Akhtamkul Karim read samples of creativity written about the language, the soul and shared their impressions of this meeting.
