On November 10, 2021, a meeting was held at the State Statistics Committee with the participation of a representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia and the coordinator of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Uzbekistan and specialists.
The event was attended by a representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees for Central Asia Hans Friedrich Schodder, coordinator of the UN Population Fund in Uzbekistan Yu Yu, Deputy Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Zohijon Ziyaev and others.
Representatives of the international organization provided Goskomstat with 70 tablets and 6 laptops for conducting pilot census activities in 2021, as well as for conducting census activities throughout the country in 2023.
These funds are being used in the process of conducting pilot census activities in the Khojaabad region of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik region of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva in the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad region of the city of Tashkent.
