As of October 1, 2021, in all categories of farms in the Samarkand region, the total number of cattle amounted to 1,652.7 thousand heads (104.2% compared to October 1, 2020), of which 708.8 thousand cows (103.5%), sheep and goats - 2,522.7 thousand heads (101.4%), horses - 27.1 thousand heads (102.0%) and birds - 11,906.0 thousand heads ( 104.6%).
