As of October 1, 2022, the number of cattle in the republic reached 13,582.5 thousand heads.
The main part of the cattle population was observed in dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms - 12,497.8 thousand heads, or 92.0% of the total livestock.
A significant share of the total number of cattle falls on the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions (12.4%). Along with this, an increase in the number of cattle was recorded in the Bukhara (9.6%) region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (8.8%).
