It also aims to identify gaps in official statistics, promote open data policies, improve communication between national statistical offices and data users, and evaluate openness.

ODIN has been included among the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since 2023. This, in turn, will increase the credibility of the ranking and the wider use of open data by countries in monitoring the achievement of SDG targets by 2030. As a result, the ODIN Open Data Rankings are conducted in a transparent and open manner, with the countries themselves also partly participating in these processes, expressing their opinion.

The website of the United Nations Statistics Office highlights the work of countries with best practices in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. At the end of 2022, the Republic of Uzbekistan was among the 87 countries with best practices, and information was made public on the ongoing work to monitor the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and inform the public in our country.

Every year, the Agency of Statistics prepares and publishes "Compilations of statistical indicators for achieving the National SDGs in the Republic of Uzbekistan" in three languages (Russian, Uzbek and English).

The reliability of statistical data ensures transparency and accountability in the process of achieving the SDGs, suggests what changes and measures should be taken to improve the situation in various areas, what needs to be improved in the development strategy and public administration.

In general, official statistics are an important tool in achieving sustainable development and creating a prosperous future for our planet.

The improvement of the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international rankings is closely related to the systematic work carried out in our country on both.
