According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the gross regional product (GRP) of Tashkent city amounted to UZS 226 trillion in January–June 2026, increasing by 13.3% compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
During this period, Tashkent city made the largest contribution among the regions to the formation of Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product, accounting for 21.1% of the total.
The services sector accounted for 67.9 % of the capital’s GRP. This was the highest share among the regions of the republic.
The structure of Tashkent city’s GRP by sector was as follows:
services — 67.9 %;
industry — 20.1 %;
construction — 12.0 %.
