On December 19, 2023, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an open dialogue with the participation of students at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi.
Deputy Director of the Agency of Statistics Zohijon Ziyaev provided students with detailed information about the information systems and electronic information resources of the Agency, as well as about the stages and processes of forming statistical indicators.
During an open dialogue, specialists from the Statistics Agency gave detailed answers to students’ questions regarding the resident population, average wages, gross domestic product, foreign trade, cooperation of statistical departments with international organizations, statistical analysis, openness and transparency, which will be needed in scientific work.
At the end of the event, students who took an active part were presented with statistical collections.
An agreement was reached between the Statistics Agency and the university to further strengthen interaction and regularly hold such meetings.
