As of January 1, 2023, in all categories of farms, the number of sheep of Karakul breeds amounted to 5,987,4 thousand heads.The largest share of the total number of Karakul sheep breeds among the regions belongs to the Bukhara region (33.4%).A significant proportion was also noted in Kashkadarya (25.6%) and Navoi (24.8%) regions.
