According to preliminary data, in January-September 2023, only 6,972.1 thousand tons of potatoes were grown in the republic.
This indicator increased by 1.1 % compared to 2022.
The largest share in the total volume of potato cultivation occurs in the Samarkand region (20.5 %).
Also, high rates were recorded in Surkhandarya (11.3 %), Tashkent (11.3 %) and Fergana (9.7 %) regions.
