On January 30, 2025, the Statistics Agency hosted a presentation on the outcomes of the international symposium “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Economic Statistics,” held in Dubai, UAE.



It is noteworthy that from January 20 to 22 of this year, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center of the United Arab Emirates and the Statistics Division of the United Nations organized a high-level symposium in Dubai, UAE, on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Economic Statistics.” Representing the Statistics Agency, Khurshid Iskandarov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Implementing the "Electronic Government" System within the Department of Monitoring and Coordination of Open Data Portal Activities, and Anorgul Karimova, Lead Specialist of the Department for Open Data Dissemination and International Information Exchange within the International Cooperation and Information Exchange Department, participated in the symposium.

During the presentation, the participants shared the new knowledge, experience, and information gained from the symposium. In particular, alongside the study of best practices from developed countries, the practical application of artificial intelligence was also discussed.


Additionally, agreements were reached on the development of a new set of ideas and solutions for advanced use of artificial intelligence and data science in statistical production, the creation of a panel of descriptions reflecting the key aspects of strategic management plans, the development of a clear roadmap for implementing the knowledge gained during the workshops, and the establishment of commitments and deadlines for drafting guidelines.
