On February 5, 2025, a presentation was held at the Statistics Agency on the results of the regional seminar on the topic of "Unobserved Economy," organized by the Regional Capacity Development Center of the International Monetary Fund for the countries of the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia. The seminar took place from January 27 to 31, 2025, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
During the presentation, participants from the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts of the State Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan shared their knowledge, skills, and final conclusions with the agency's staff. These participants included: Jahongir Mehmonov, Head of the Current Accounts Department, Dinara Anarbekova, Chief Specialist of the Accumulation and Auxiliary Accounts Department, Zukhiddin Sattarov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Forming and Analyzing Macroeconomic Indicators, and Bahodir Gafurov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Coordinating the Statistical Assessment of the Shadow Economy.
The presentation participants were introduced to the process of forming an unobserved economy, the procedure for data publication, and the experiences of developed countries.
During the presentation, there was an exchange of views on this topic, and participants received detailed answers to all their questions.
