The II Central Asian Forum on Electronic Waste was held on March 4-5, 2025, in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan).

The forum was jointly organized by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and the Center for Promotion of Sustainable Development.

The event was attended by Azima Gafurova - Chief Specialist of the Department of Agricultural and Ecology Statistics of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was also attended by employees of the statistical offices of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, representatives of environmental protection agencies, the National Center for the Implementation of the Stockholm Convention, the German Federal Environmental Agency (UNITAR), and specialists from non-governmental non-profit organizations.

During the forum, participants were informed about the dynamics of electronic waste, changes in legislation, and new approaches to the processing and disposal of electronic waste.
The participants discussed guidelines for waste classification, reports, and indicators related to electronic waste statistics, and exchanged views on assisting countries in preparing statistical data on electronic waste.
