According to the National Statistics Committee, as of August 1, 2025, the number of active enterprises and organizations in the republic totaled 462.2 thousand.
Of these, 392.4 thousand, or 84.9%, are small enterprises and microfirms.
By type of economic activity, the largest share belongs to the trade sector, which accounts for 32.6% of the total number of enterprises.

construction - 6.3%
trade - 32.6%
transportation and storage - 3.6%
accommodation and food services - 6.3%
information and communication - 2.4%
