According to the National Statistics Committee, as of September 1, 2025, the number of operating enterprises and organizations in the republic amounted to 465.6 thousand.
Of these, 395.6 thousand, or 85 percent, are small enterprises and microfirms.
Their distribution by types of economic activity is as follows:
in trade - 32.5%;
in industry - 12.7%;
in the sphere of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 7.4%;
in the sphere of accommodation and food services - 6.3%;
in the construction sector - 6.4%;
in the sphere of transportation and storage - 3.6%;
in the field of information and communication - 2.4%;
in the field of healthcare and social services - 2.8%;
in other areas - 25.9%.
