On 2 December of this year, a seminar titled “Technical Support for the Preparation and Conduct of the First National Agricultural Census in Uzbekistan” was held in Tashkent. The event was attended by representatives of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, FAO, UNFPA and other international organizations.
During the seminar, participants were provided with information on the objectives and tasks of the agricultural census, implementation mechanisms, and the application of international standards and modern methodologies. Discussions were also held on the use of digital data collection systems, improving quality control, and establishing an effective system for processing and disseminating information.
It was emphasized that successful implementation of the project requires close cooperation among relevant ministries and agencies, technical support from international experts, and proper planning of all stages of the census. The participants exchanged views and reviewed proposals and recommendations aimed at ensuring high-quality organization of the census.
