According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-February 2026, a total of 469,060 citizens from Tajikistan visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
When analyzing the purposes of Tajikistan's trips, 402,100 visits were recorded for visiting relatives, 23,996 for travel purposes, 33,100 for official purposes, 7,562 for medical treatment, 1,523 for commercial purposes, and 779 for studies.
Also, during this period, a total of 179,390 citizens traveled from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan for tourism purposes.
Among the Uzbek travelers, visiting relatives was a priority and amounted to 176,198 people. Also, 2,281 citizens traveled for travel purposes, 579 for treatment, 276 for study, and 56 for official purposes.
