According to the National Statistics Committee, 3,328 Georgian citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes between January and May 2026.
This figure increased by 31.7% compared to the corresponding period last year.
When analyzing the travel purposes of Georgians, 2,305 visits were recorded for travel purposes, 766 for official purposes, 254 for visiting relatives, and 3 for study.
Also, during this period, a total of 3,317 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to Georgia for tourism purposes.
This figure increased by 21.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2025.
In the structure of travel purposes of Uzbeks, travel also prevailed, amounting to 2,993 people. Additionally, 258 citizens traveled to visit relatives, 33 for medical treatment, 25 for official business, and 8 for studies.
