Compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, this figure increased by 15.3 thousand people, or 2.1 times.
The number of foreign nationals who arrived in Uzbekistan for study purposes during this period, by country, was as follows:
Turkmenistan — 11,986;
India — 6,163;
Tajikistan — 2,271;
China — 1,311;
Pakistan — 1,252;
Kyrgyz Republic — 1,028;
Egypt — 852;
Republic of Korea — 732;
Philippines — 620;
