According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan imported 18.9 thousand tonnes of mutton worth USD 43.8 million in January–July 2026.
The volume of imports increased by 5.2 thousand tonnes, or 37.7%, compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
The countries that supplied the largest volumes of mutton to Uzbekistan during this period were:
Kazakhstan — 16.9 thousand tonnes;
Mongolia — 891.3 tonnes;
Russia — 635.7 tonnes;
Other countries — 517.2 tonnes.
