On 13 April 2021, an online webinar was held between the Working Group on Forest Economics and Statistics of FAO and the Joint UNECE / FAO Section on Forestry and Timber.

On April 13 of this year, the Department for the Organization and Conduct of the Population Census of the Department of Statistics of the Navoi Region in the secondary school named after S. Ayniy and the meeting room of the off-budget Pension Fund of the Kanimekh region organized a training seminar on the topic: “Measures taken in our country to prepare for the census in 2023 ".

Dialogue with the people, organization of work, study of problems on the ground and search for their solutions on the basis of a new system developed at the initiative of the Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev – “Mahallabay” and “Fuqarobay”, serve, first of all, to improve the welfare of the population. Along with other ministries and departments, the State Committee on Statistics is actively involved in this process.

According to the State Committee of Statistics, as of April 1, 2021, 27 709 enterprises and organizations were newly created in the republic (excluding farms and dekhkan farms). This is 3 625 more than in the same period last year.

As we reported earlier, the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) began on April 5 this year. The purpose of this event is to collect important information on the socio-economic well-being of women, children and households in 726 makhallas of the country. Data collection from Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) will continue until July 31, 2021.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in January - March 2021, the number of newly created enterprises (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) in the republic amounted to 27 709.

On April 12 this year, the Department of Statistics of the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the electrical networks enterprise of the Muinak region with the participation of statisticians and employees of the enterprise held a seminar on the topic “The relevance of the population census”.

In our country, special attention is paid to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, attracting employees of state and public organizations, as well as all citizens to mass sports.

The growth rate of the number of newly created enterprises, compared to the same period last year, amounted to 115.1 %.

The newspaper "Халк сузи" No.73 dated April 10, 2021 published an article by the first Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Ikramov Agzam Anvardjonovich on topic "Selling finished products, not raw materials, is a top priority for the country's textile industry".

On April 9 of this year, in the meeting room of the Namangan regional statistical department with the participation of the leadership of the regional statistical department, media representatives, a press conference was held on the work carried out in the statistics system in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 №710 “On measures to prepare and conducting a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”.

On April 9, 2021, a training seminar was organized by videoconference at the State Committee on Statistics with students of the Tashkent State Transport University on the topic: “Measures taken in our country to prepare for the population census in 2023”.

 

On April 9 this year, a joint video conference was organized between the State Statistics Committee and the Tashkent Financial Institute.

Within the framework of the national charitable hashar, the staff of the State Committee on Statistics and the Department of Statistics of the Tashkent region organizes “hashars” in their free time on the territory of the Samarkand mahalla in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region.

On April 8 of this year, on the basis of the schedule approved in accordance with Appendix 5 to Resolution No. 4 of the Republican Council for Working with International Ratings and Indices, the State Committee on Statistics organized a webinar for members of the working group, responsible employees of ministries and departments on the topic “Statistical Potential Index”.
