On 28-30 December 2020, the Bureau of Statistics of Pakistan organized an online workshop on "Sustainable Development Targets-3".

As of December 1 of this year, Uzbekistan imported 31.9 thousand tons of bananas from foreign countries. This is 3.4 thousand tons less than in the same period last year. This year, bananas were imported to Uzbekistan mainly from Ecuador (29.8 thousand tons).

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, 4 930 textile enterprises produced textile products worth 30.3 trillion sums.

As of December 1, 997 enterprises of the metallurgical industry operated in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which in January - November 2020 produced products worth 70.9 trillion soums. The physical volume index compared to January - November 2019 was 106.3%.

On December 28, 2020, an online consultation was held between Goskomstat and the Deputy Director of the International Charter of Open Data with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in which the issues of joining the Republic of Uzbekistan to the International Charter of Open Data were discussed.

On December 23 of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 808 "On measures for further development of the open data sphere in the Republic of Uzbekistan".

On December 28 of this year, an online presentation of the official website of the State Committee on Statistics was held in an updated form.

In order to implement the decree Of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 30, 2020 “on measures for the widespread introduction of a healthy lifestyle and the further development of mass sports”, meetings with famous athletes of our country are regularly organized for employees of state statistics bodies.

On December 25, 2020, the newspaper “Народное слово” published an article by Akrom Sultanov, head of the Department for monitoring and coordinating the activities of the open data Portal of the State Committee on Statistics, entitled "Breakthrough in the field of open data".

On December 26 of this year, the “Янги Ўзбекистон” newspaper published an article by the head of the Information Service of the State Committee on Statistics Usmon Abdurasulov and the head of the Department for Monitoring and Coordination of the Open Data Portal Akrom Sultanov entitled “Uzbekistan has risen by 125 positions”.

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics pursuant to paragraph 7 of the “Regulations on the procedure for conducting the annual revaluation of the cost of fixed assets as of January 1,” developed revaluation indices for the cost of fixed assets as of January 1, 2021.

Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 9, 2019 No. PP - 4273 "On additional measures to ensure openness and transparency of public administration, as well as increasing the statistical potential of the country" has created a solid foundation for our country to achieve a number of successes in the field of open data.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in January-November of this year, the number of enterprises and organizations operating in the construction sector in Uzbekistan amounted to 40.7 thousand, which is 4.4 thousand more than in the same period last year.

On December 25, 2020, an infographic titled “Uzbekistan exported textile products worth 1.7 billion US dollars” was published in the newspaper Халқ сўзи No. 272.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, for 11 months of 2020, Uzbekistan imported passenger car tires from foreign countries in the amount of 58.6 million US dollars. This figure is 12.7 million us dollars less than in the same period last year.

At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1 this year, the issue of human resources was raised, and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists of the statistical system.

On December 23, 2020, the newspaper “O‘zbekiston ovozi” No. 46 published an article “Indicators of the country's science development” by the head of the legal department of the State Committee on Statistics Musaev Kodirbek Abdukodirovich and the chief legal adviser Akhunov Sherzod Adkhamovich.

On December 22, within the framework of the UNFPA Regional Project “Quality Data - Effective Policy”, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee organized a video conference of specialists from the national statistical services of the CIS member states on statistics on the situation of youth and the Sustainable Development Goals.
