One of the priorities of modern state policy is the preservation and strengthening of the health of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the strengthening of the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 №710, from November 1 to 25, 2021 in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the City of Tashkent, it is planned to conduct a population census in a test mode.

As of April 1, 2021, the country had 20 special economic zones (hereinafter referred to as SEZ), 90 directorates of small industrial zones (hereinafter referred to as SIZ), 9 technoparks and 417 clusters*, which included: SEZ - 526 enterprises, SIZ – 1 643, technoparks - 69 and clusters - 422 enterprises.

In January-March 2021, the share of small businesses in the total industrial production amounted to 22.2%.

In January-March 2021, according to the State Committee on Statistics, the share of investments made by enterprises and organizations without raising funds, at their own expense, in the total investment in fixed assets in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 28.4%.

According to the data of sample surveys of households by the State Committee on Statistics, in January-March 2021, the average number of household members was 5.2 people.

On May 12 of this year, a joint video conference was organized between the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent Financial Institute.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, as of March 1, 2021, 48 360 family enterprises were registered in the republic, of which 45 006 are functioning.

In January-April 2021, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations amounted to 37,4 thousand units. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 8 242 units, and the growth rate was 128.3 %.

A positive contribution to GDP growth was made by the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 0.4 percentage points. (in January-March 2020 - 0.5 p.p.), industry - 1.2 p.p. (in January-March 2020 - 0.6 p.p.) and the service sector - 1.1 p.p. (in January-March 2020 - 2.5 p.p.).

In our country, special attention is paid to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, attracting employees of state and public organizations, as well as all citizens to mass sports.

As of January 1, 2021, the number of vehicles owned by individuals in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 2 955 295, which is 14.5% more than in 2020.

The department of statistics of the Turtkul region in the khokimiyat of the region held a seminar on the topic “The relevance of the population census”.

For the purpose of improvement and planting of greenery in makhallas, residential buildings in the Yangikhayat district, the staff of the State Committee on Statistics and the Department of Statistics of the city of Tashkent organized khashars on the ground.
